From Healthcare Facilities to Commercial Excellence
Anvil Clinical Hygiene was founded by Ritchie Allen Hansen after working in Healthcare Facilities Management and Environmental Services (EVS).
In hospitals, cleaning is about process discipline, cross-contamination prevention, and risk mitigation. We realized the commercial sector was lacking these standards. Facilities were being wiped down, but there was no documented way to verify whether the work was actually done.
So, we brought the professional-grade playbook to commercial buildings.
Today, we're headquartered in 218 O St SW, Quincy, WA — serving commercial facilities across Central WA, the Columbia Basin, Tri-Cities, Spokane, and the Greater Puget Sound region.
EVS-Informed Protocols
Professional-grade environmental services methodology applied to commercial spaces.
Documented Verification
Fluorescent-marker coverage audits to verify whether designated surfaces were mechanically cleaned.
The Anvil Manifesto
We believe commercial facilities deserve better than the industry standard. Here is where we draw the line between "looks clean" and "verified against Anvil's documented inspection checklist."
What We Reject
- Appearance-based cleaning that leaves residue behind
- Dirty mop water spreading cross-contamination
- Unverified work and 'looks clean' assumptions
- High-turnover, untrained 'cleaners'
- Generic chemicals with improper dwell times
What We Champion
- Documented cleaning backed by fluorescent-marker coverage audits
- Color-coded microfiber systems to help reduce cross-zone transfer
- Documented scorecards and transparent reporting
- Trained Facility Hygiene Technicians
- EPA-registered products applied according to label directions
We don't hire "cleaners." We train Facility Hygiene Technicians.
The quality of your facility's hygiene is only as good as the person executing the protocol. We invest in our team to ensure they understand the science of cleaning, not just the physical labor.
EVS-Informed Training
Every team member is trained in cross-contamination prevention, surface hygiene, and The Anvil Standard before stepping foot in a client facility.
Chemical Dwell Time Discipline
Disinfectants require specific contact times to work according to their labels. Our technicians are trained on precise dwell times for EPA-registered products.
Accountability Reporting
Technicians use digital checklists and fluorescent-marker verification to document their work, ensuring consistent quality day after day.

Standards We Hold Ourselves To
Every Anvil engagement is built on four non-negotiable operational standards.
Bonded & Insured
Washington State licensed, bonded, and insured for commercial facility operations.
Background-Checked
Every Facility Hygiene Technician undergoes background screening before any client facility assignment.
EPA-Registered Products
All cleaning agents are EPA-registered and applied according to label directions, including proper surface dwell times.
Healthcare EVS-Informed
Protocols adapted from hospital Environmental Services (EVS) methodology — built for infection risk management, not surface shine.
