Fluorescent-marker coverage audits verify whether designated surfaces were mechanically cleaned. They do not directly prove pathogen removal, bacterial kill, viral kill, sterilization, disinfection efficacy, infection prevention, or infection outcomes.
When controlled fluorescent markers are placed before cleaning, we can measure whether those designated surfaces were mechanically addressed.
